  • Metal – 304 stainless steel wire mesh bag

SS304 Stainless Steel Wire Mesh Bags

Metal – 304 stainless steel wire mesh bag
Are you looking for an economical replacement for traditional high temperature filter bags made of Nomex, Teflon and fiber glass media? Don’t look any further. CleanFlow offers a 304 stainless steel wire mesh filter bag. It has a rigid pore opening structure which tolerates a limited number of back washes. Pressure differential is acceptable which allows longer filter change-out intervals to further reduce the operating cost.

As conventional fiber bags, SSM is also to be used inside of restrainer basket for support. Thanks to it’s better tensile strength, higher than average change out pressure differential is acceptable, allowing customers with longer filter change-out intervals thus further reduce operating costs.

  • Oil absorption filter bags

Oil Adsorbent Polypropylene Bag, Pleated Applications

    Oil absorption filterbag
CleanFlow manufactures two different types of Oil Absorbent Bag Filters and in different sizes. These Absorbent bags are made from multiple layers of polypropylene micro fiber nonwoven that attract (oleophillic) oil droplets within the nonwoven matrix.

The degree of effectiveness of these bags is dependent on the type of oil you are trying to remove as well as the differential pressure across the bag filter media. The greater the differential pressure the greater the propensity will be for the oil droplet to deform, and migrate downstream which you don’t want.

For this reason we encourage you to use gauges on your housing to decrease your risk of forcing oil droplets downstream.

    Features:
    – Very high flow rates at low initial pressure differential
    – Nominal particle retention rates: 1 μm – 100 μm
    – Bag sealing collar from PP
    – Excellent chemical compatibility

FAQs

What should my water filter filter out? ›

They are generally effective for reducing the most typical worrisome compounds that can be found in municipal water: chlorine, chlorine byproducts and dissolved volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) such as pesticides and herbicides. Carbon adsorption filters generally work well for reducing bad odors and tastes.

What does a low micron number on a whole home filter package indicate the filter? ›

The smaller the number, the finer the filtration; therefore, filters with lower micron ratings will remove more impurities than those with higher ratings.

What is the process of filtration step by step? ›

During the filtration process in water treatment, (1) raw water enters through the filter's inlet, (2) first passing through the coarse screen for removal of large debris and sediment, (3) then through the inner fine screen for removal of the remaining smaller particles.

What Cannot be filtered out of water? ›

Water filters cannot distinguish between chemicals that are essential for good health, such as calcium, magnesium, iodine, and potassium, and those that are harmful, such as lead and cadmium.

What is a better filter 10 micron or 100 micron? ›

Smaller isn't always better.

The smaller the micron rating, the more contaminants will be removed. That being said, flow rate loss is a possibility. To ensure there is little to no flow loss, a filter with a higher micron rating or a larger pump is required.

Which is finer 5 micron or 30 micron? ›

The pore size of a filter cartridge is measured in microns. The smaller the micron rating, the finer the particulate removed.

Which is a finer filter 10 micron or 30 micron? ›

Filters with a larger micron rating allow larger particles through the system. Usually, a 10-micron filter is used for unleaded gasoline, and a 30-micron filter is used for diesel fuel. A 30-micron filter used in an unleaded dispenser unit can allow unwanted particles to pass through to the customer's vehicle.

What are the 4 steps of filtration? ›

4 Steps In Industrial Water Purification

  • Particle removal. ...
  • Parasite removal. ...
  • Bacteria removal. ...
  • Tank venting.

What is filtration in short answer? ›

filtration, the process in which solid particles in a liquid or gaseous fluid are removed by the use of a filter medium that permits the fluid to pass through but retains the solid particles. Either the clarified fluid or the solid particles removed from the fluid may be the desired product.

Why is my water filter clogging so quickly? ›

One of the main causes of water filter clogs is simply not changing the filter often enough. Over time, the filter becomes filled with contaminants and debris, which can eventually lead to a clog. Depending on the type of water filter you have, it should be changed every few months to ensure that it's working properly.

What is the fastest way to filter water? ›

There are three ways to clean water: distillation, reverse osmosis and carbon filtering. Of the three, carbon filtering is the quickest and easiest, but it also largely provides aesthetic improvement, which is all the simple affordable filters do.

What happens when you overuse water filter? ›

An inefficient filter will lead to bacteria build up in your tank. What would happen if you don't regularly change filters? General wear and tear to your water filters can have implications such as reduced effectiveness and an increased risk of biofouling.

Do water filters filter everything? ›

There is really no one single water filter that can remove everything from water, but by using a combination of treatment methods, you can have a filtering system that gives you almost nothing but pure water.

Do water filters filter out chlorine? ›

Many water filters, such as activated carbon filters and reverse osmosis systems, are effective at removing chlorine from drinking water. These filters work by adsorbing the chlorine molecules, binding them to a surface, and preventing them from passing through the filter.

Do water filters filter out fluoride? ›

Water Filters: One way of avoiding the fluoride from tap water is to purchase a water filter. Not all water filters, however, remove fluoride. The three types of filters that can remove fluoride are reverse osmosis, deionizers (which use ion-exchange resins), and activated alumina.
