So what have I got for you in today's video? Well, I'm going to be displaying for you the various amounts of caffeine in different teas vessels.
The amount of caffeine in coffee and I'm going to be showing you this information in bars you're going to see the amount of caffeine in different teas in bars, the amounts of caffeine in coffee also in a bar and uh towards the end of the video you're gonna see a full bar chart of the different amounts of caffeine in the different teas versus the amount in coffee.
And I will suggest that when you get to that part of the video where the backtrack is in full display, pause, the video at that point that way you can appreciate the information a lot more, and you can make informed decisions as to what you want to do with the piece of information you're going to gather.
Now you might say, why is this information important? Well, it is important from the point of view of someone who's looking for plenty of caffeine from their tea.
They know what it is to go for also someone who's looking for the least amount of caffeine in their tea.
They also know what teas to go for.
Conversely, if you're someone who's trying to avoid caffeine in your teeth, then you also know what tea is to avoid.
So this information applies to everybody really by the way, uh, the amounts you're gonna see in this very video are the amounts of caffeine in an eight ounce cup of the different teas vessels and eight ounce cup of coffee caffeine in cheese vessels, caffeine and coffee.
Here we go what you're going to see now is how much caffeine is in an 8 ounce cup of each beverage we're going to start off with the beverage that has the least amount of caffeine and finish off with the one that has the highest amount of caffeine.
And of course that includes coffee.
So here we go decaffeinated, black tea, three milligrams of caffeine, decaffeinated coffee, five milligrams of caffeine, kombucha tea, 24 milligrams of caffeine, white tea.
28 milligrams of caffeine, green tea, 35 milligrams of caffeine, oolong tea, 37 milligrams of caffeine, black tea 47 milligrams of caffeine, matcha tea, 70 milligrams of caffeine, yerba made tea 85 milligrams of caffeine, coffee, 105 milligrams of caffeine here they all are again in their full glorious view for a few seconds for you to absorb.
Now something you would have gleaned from this very video is the fact that decaffeinated does not mean zero caffeine, because it is practically impossible to squeeze out every ounce of caffeine from any product it's just impossible.
But for a product to qualify as decaffeinated, it should have about five milligrams or less of caffeine in it.
So just something you would have noticed, uh, decaffeinated does not mean zero.
Caffeine.
Okay.
Now in case, you're wondering, why I did not mention your favorite tea out there, the amount of caffeine in your favorite tea, well, it's because uh, it's just impossible for me to talk about every brand of tea out there, because there are hundreds of brands of teas out there.
And it will just be practically impossible for me to touch on every brand of tea that we have available all over the world, but here's what you should know as far as branded teas are concerned.
It is that 80 to 90 percent of the teas out there.
They are usually constituted with black tea.
Yes.
But it is a ninety percent of the tears out there.
Uh, they were made with black tea.
A small portion will be made with oolong tea and white tea.
But the vast majority are usually made with black tea.
Okay.
So I've got some examples here for you to chew on.
So, for instance, uh, this is a tetley brand a very popular brand where I live totally, uh made with black tea.
Okay.
So that's one example there for you here's another.
This is twining's el gray.
Okay, el gray made with black tea.
Okay.
Now the lady grape version as well made with black tea.
Okay, yorkshire tea.
Another popular brand also made with black tea.
Okay and uh, here's, a brand that is very popular in africa.
Uh this, uh, this is lifting tea, uh.
What we got in it black tea, okay, little tea with black tea.
Now, when the brand uh have made a tea with green tea, they're gonna shout out very loud on the packets.
Okay.
So, for instance, this is a technic brand of uh, green tea, they'll say, it on the park.
Okay, green tea.
All right.
So the point I'm making is that the default tea that, uh, the manufacturers, the tea manufacturers tend to use is usually black tea.
So if it's not green tea, always assume that the tea was made with black tea, uh, occasionally, they will make it with oolong tea or white tea.
Okay.
So something you should know.
Okay.
Now something else I forgot to mention, uh in the bar charts presentation.
And that is decaffeinated green tea, how much caffeine have we got in decaffeinated green tea? Well, I I apologize.
What I forgot to mention is in decaffeinated green tea.
We have about two milligrams of caffeine in a decaffeinated green tea.
Okay.
So, uh, that's a vital piece of information that you should know for those of you who want to go for the decaffeinated variety of the green tea.
So you should know that you've got two milligrams of caffeine in it.
